International day of sports and development for kids

Narayana Schools celebrated a special event commemorating the International Day of Sports and Development for Kids. As staunch advocates of over-all development for students, Narayana Schools recognises the immense value of sports in nurturing young minds. This event aims to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship, foster physical fitness, and instil essential life skills among children.

Beyond physical health, sports impart invaluable lessons in teamwork, discipline, resilience, and leadership. Narayana emphasises its commitment to developing sports champions and promoting physical fitness among students through its tailored sports curriculum, nSports, which instils a passion for sports and fitness, and its annual three-month sports season, NPL. This initiative fosters teamwork, competition, resilience, and other essential skills in our students. At Narayana Schools, we aim to empower children with these essential attributes, preparing them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and grace.

The dedication of our students is evident through their remarkable achievements in sports. Notable examples include:

  • Arya Ram Munde, who secured 93.8% percentage in CBSE standard 10 exams while being a National Level Throwball player in the Under-19 category
  • Gagana Umesh stands out as a National Level Karate Champion in the Under-17 category
  • G. Priyadarshini secured the 2nd Rank in the Under-12 Defendo-Karate National Level Championship
  • Aarvi Shah has clinched three gold medals in inline skating for the U-10 category (Girls)

We encourage students to participate in sports activities and provide them exposure by offering necessary infrastructure within our schools. Additionally, we offer support wherever required, ensuring students can pursue their passions while fulfilling their dreams.

Dr. P. Sindhura, the Director of Narayana Educational Institutions, shared her thoughts on the significance of International Day of Sports and Development for Kids, stating that “International Day of Sports and Development for Kids serves as a beacon of hope, uniting children worldwide in the pursuit of physical fitness, teamwork, and character development. Let us harness the transformative power of sports to shape a brighter future for our youth.”

In today’s digital age, promoting active lifestyle among children is paramount. Such activities encourage kids to embrace physical activity and outdoor play, offering opportunities to showcase skills and discover new interests in sports like football, basketball, cricket, or athletics. By nurturing talent and passion, we aim to inspire future sports champions and leaders.

Narayana schools believe in the power of community engagement and collaboration. Such events bring together students, parents, teachers, and local communities to celebrate the transformative power of sports. Through interactive workshops, demonstrations, and friendly competitions, we create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported, because at Narayana, Your Dreams Are Our Dreams.
