PROPOSED CLUBS

The Nature Club, a one-of-a-kind initiative of the Narayana Group of Schools, was introduced to build awareness among students to save our mother nature. When global warming seems to be a major concern for the sustainability of this planet, we at Narayana believe that it is high time to nurture a feeling of accountability among young students to protect the environment. We encourage our learners to undergo different activities such as planting trees, participating in different social awareness programmes for recycling, beach cleaning, and minimising the use of energy to develop a sustainable living space.

Being acknowledged among the best CBSE schools in Neelankarai with scholarly faculty members, we understand that experiential learning supports the overall understanding when it comes to learning subjects including chemistry, biology, and physics. Accordingly, we have initiated the idea of a science club where teachers and students work together to participate in fun scientific experiments. This not only helps young learners understand complex subjects with ease but also raises their interest in and awareness of complicated topics in science groups.

Living in an IT-dependent world, building skills in coding that involve a process of transforming instructions, ideas, and solutions into the programming language is essential. In the coding club, we teach our students about the basics of programming in different computer languages. Apart from growing their interest in exploring the world of information technology, this uncovers an opportunity to get high-paying jobs and make them successful in their career.

The drama club is another great endeavour of Narayana e-Techno School, Neelankarai that aims to build the basic knowledge among students in performing arts and techniques of presenting different imaginative characters on the stage. Acting is established effectively to boost interpersonal skills, personality, and verbal and non-verbal communication abilities among young learners.

All these skills are integral to earning success. The programme helps promote some vital skills, such as expressing speech and making presentations, which become beneficial for the students down the line. Equipped with talented instructors, the drama club guides the students through different activities related to the performing arts.

Performing arts involve developing artistic skills and executing them before an audience. Participating in programmes such as music, dance, and drama helps build self-confidence. This also helps develop quickness of mind, cognitive skills, and emotions in young learners. Participating in performing arts from an early age boosts leadership skills, improves teamwork and collaborative attitudes among students, and reduces their stress to go ahead in the competitive world.

The key activities include:

â—Ź       Theatre or drama

â—Ź       Vocal music

â—Ź       Dance

â—Ź       Playing instruments (violin, guitar, flute, violin, synthesiser, tablas, mouth organ, etc.)

The whole objective of the Eco Club, another initiative of Narayana, is to encourage young learners to conserve natural resources alongside the environment, and preserve the biodiversity that helps form an eco-friendly nature. The programme also inspires the students to take care of local environmental issues to boost ‘green’ (clean) awareness among students through various initiatives and methods.

The programme includes:

â—Ź       Science Club

â—Ź       Nature Club

â—Ź       Recycling

Knowledge about computer science has become indispensable for future generations' career growth and success. We have promoted Tech Club to make our learners ready for the future and aware of the newest discoveries, enabling them to stride successfully in the faster-evolving technology world.

The tech club bolsters the know-how and understanding of students about new technologies and how they work for different applications. The programme inspires their developing minds to build their careers in the world of information technology, enabling them to secure rewarding jobs in a highly competitive market.

In Tech Club, our students can experience and learn the following:

â—Ź       Gaming

â—Ź       Coding

â—Ź       Learning web tools

â—Ź       Robotics

Involving in different projects on art and craft helps boost the imagination power, problem-solving skills, and motor skills of young learners and inspires their creative minds. This is an interesting subject for every student and helps them get a break from their intense study schedules. By nature, children love arts and crafts and creating different objects on their own. This gives them a feeling of accomplishment that promotes their self-confidence. As a result, it uplifts their analytical skills, creative thinking, and collaborative nature.

Students can be involved in the following art and craft projects:

â—Ź       Art

â—Ź       Craft

â—Ź       Pottery

Growing children need to deal with various challenges that come their way, and how effectively they solve them depends primarily on their interpersonal skills, personalities, and psychosocial abilities.

Learning these soft skills of life enables students to resolve different issues, think outside the box with an analytical mind, make informed decisions, interact effectively, and think critically and creatively. Having these skills helps students collaborate with others, build healthy associations, and go ahead in their lives productively.

This club aims to develop communication skills from the preliminary standards of the students. We, at Narayana, acknowledged as among the best schools in Neelankarai, understand the significance of developing effective communication skills among students not only for their academic success but also to excel in their careers down the line. Communication skills are equally important for social development and maintaining healthy relationships, apart from making a mark in this intensely competitive era.

The key activities of this club include:

â—Ź       Debate

â—Ź       Personal grooming

â—Ź       Elocution

â—Ź       Public speaking
