World Heritage Day celebrated with fervour at Narayana Schools

World Heritage Day

April 18th is globally recognised as World Heritage Day, dedicated to celebrating cultural sites acknowledged by UNESCO’s World Heritage Site list. This day aims to raise awareness, honour & encourage cultural exchange, and foster understanding.

To commemorate World Heritage Day, Narayana schools organised an activity to engage with our students and help them broaden their knowledge of UNESCO-recognised World Heritage sites in India. We believe that learning about these cultural sites brings us closer to our nation, as they reflect our history and the evolution that has shaped us today. These sites showcase the vision & execution capabilities of our ancestors and remind us to appreciate the skills they demonstrated in creating these remarkable landmarks.

The event was a resounding success, as our students engaged in lively discussions and shared their knowledge about these sites, expressing a keen interest in visiting them. This activity also highlighted their determination to strengthen their bond with our heritage and recognise how these unique sites contribute to the exceptional history of our country.

Speaking on World Heritage Day, Dr. P. Sindhura, Director, Narayana Educational Institutions emphasised, “Our heritage sites are not mere tourist attractions; they are symbols that contribute to our country’s international recognition. At Narayana, we ensure that our students understand the rich legacy, cultural heritage and significance of our nation’s history, as it forms the foundation for both its present and future”.

On World Heritage Day, Narayana Schools offered a platform for our students to share their enthusiasm for our World Heritage sites and their aspiration to visit these sites independently. We believe that the knowledge gained from such visits is priceless and that exploring these sites expands our students’ horizons beyond traditional methods of learning from books and schools, into the realm of real-life experiences. At Narayana, we embrace the idea that learning knows no limits and can occur at any time and in any place, as at Narayana, Your Dreams are our Dreams.
